• Fix default indent settings in jmacsrc for that to work
• For all flavours, disable backups, sync char table help page, bug contact

ASCII 0x7E (tilde) was broken in non-UTF-8 encodings (off-by-one, mea culpa)

Better match for Python files for *rc (except jupprc, which had it already)
